40 TPD Wheat Flour Milling Processing Line

Wheat as a staple food with over 700 million metric tons annual crop volume, plays a crucial role in our diet. The quality of flour is also directly related to the grain quality and how it is processed, as it should keep its nutritional value and other unique characteristics. Whether the flour is used for bread, pastries, biscuits, cookies or pasta, a highly efficient processing capability for the end product starts with a successful milling process.

According to the customers' different requirements for production capacity of the flour milling industry and flour market needs, we have different flour processing solutions and flour processing plant construction options, which can fully meet the various needs of consumers.

Technological Process

1 Intake and pre-cleaning

The wheat purchased from the farm is mixed with large impurities such as stones, weeds, sand, and rags. When these impurities enter the equipment, they may cause damage. Therefore, preliminary cleaning is required before the wheat is put into the warehouse.

2 Cleaning and conditioning

The pre-cleaned wheat needs further cleaning before being ground to remove smaller impurities and ensure the taste and quality of the flour. After the clean wheat enters the conditioning bin, it is adjusted with water to enhance epidermis toughness and reduce endosperm strength, facilitating the subsequent milling process.

3 Milling

The principle of modern milling is to separate the bran and endosperm (flour) by grinding the wheat grains gradually using multiple sieves. Cortex is tight and tough, while endosperm tissue is loose and soft. Under controlled pressure, shear force, and cutting force, crushed particles of different sizes are produced and separated via sieving.

4 Packing & Post-Processing

This equipment packs the processed flour into 10kg or 25kg packages. After milling, post-processing is performed, including insecticide, mixing, adding trace elements, weighing, and bagging to stabilize quality and increase variety. Automation is managed based on a modern PLC system for real-time production data.
